Job summary

ALH Hotels' Pacific Hotel in Yeppoon is seeking a Head Chef to lead the kitchen, blending pub classics with plates locals can't get enough of.

You will command the kitchen, work with the Publican and FOH team, and inspire a high-performing crew while driving safe, profitable operations.

Qualifications

• Trade cooking qualifications and food safety certifications are required.
• Hands-on Head Chef role with physical duties.
• Experience leading kitchen teams and maintaining high standards.
• Ability to work with front-of-house to ensure great service.

Responsibilities

• Lead the kitchen, ensure smooth, safe, and profitable operations.
• Collaborate with the Publican and FOH team to align service goals.
• Develop dishes and mentor junior staff to raise the team’s performance.

A day in the life of a Head Chef:

Inherent requirements:

This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

• You've got trade cooking qualifications and food safety certifications sorted
