Job summary

Placed Recruitment Hospitality Jobs is seeking a Head Chef for a premium Central Coast venue. You will own the kitchen and food direction, build a produce-led menu, and drive the team and commercial performance.

You’ll have real autonomy over the food and staff, with a competitive salary of AU$100,000–AU$120,000 plus incentives and sponsorship opportunities. The successful candidate will bring proven head chef experience and strong leadership to a high-caliber team.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a head chef in a quality venue.
• Genuine menu creation ability. Dishes that sell, not just dishes that read well.
• Strong commercial skills across costings, margins, labour and stock.
• Leadership people actually respond to. The team here is good and has been here a long time, they simply need direction and someone to look up to.
• Clear, confident communication with your brigade, your suppliers and your venue manager.
• Availability across the weekend, when the venue is at its busiest.
• High standards without the ego.
