Job summary

Trippas White Group in Canberra is seeking a Head Chef to take full ownership of Oculus Café x Kitchen by Mike from day one, delivering Mike McEnearney’s produce-led philosophy across menus and events.

You’ll lead a high-performing kitchen team, plan and execute gallery events, recruit and roster staff, manage budgets and costs, and ensure food safety, HACCP and WH&S compliance with pride and ownership.

Qualifications

• Proven Head Chef experience in a high-profile hospitality venue.
• Strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
• Experience planning and managing budgets and P&L impact.

Responsibilities

• Own day-to-day kitchen operations from opening day.
• Lead events planning and execution from design to staff and service.
• Recruit, roster and develop kitchen and event staff.
• Ensure adherence to food safety, HACCP and WH&S standards.
• Drive continuous improvement in food, service and presentation.
