Ristorante Papa in Five Dock, Sydney NSW, is seeking a Head Chef (or Senior Sous Chef ready to lead) to take ownership of our established Italian kitchen. This role offers creative input and autonomy within a family‑owned hospitality group that values quality and consistency.

You will lead a team across all kitchen operations, ensuring authentic Italian dishes, high standards, and seasonal menu development while maintaining cost controls and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Head Chef experience or readiness to step up as Senior Sous Chef.
• Strong experience in Italian cuisine.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to stay calm and organised during busy service.
• Pride in running an efficient, professional kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Lead all day‑to‑day kitchen operations
• Deliver high‑quality, authentic Italian cuisine
• Inspire, train and mentor the kitchen team
• Manage ordering, stock control and food costs
