Job summary
Opal HealthCare is seeking a Head Chef to lead the Caboolture Parklands Care Community kitchen and design exceptional dining experiences for residents. You will oversee a day-time kitchen, mentor staff, and ensure nutritional, safe meals are served daily.
The role requires leadership capabilities, culinary excellence, and a passion for aged care. Permanent full-time hours Monday to Friday, with an attractive salary package and opportunities for career development through the Opal HealthCare
Qualifications
- Requires Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or equivalent.
- Proven Head Chef experience in a leadership role.
- Food Safety Supervisor Certification required.
- Strong leadership, communication and financial management skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead kitchen team to deliver nutritious and delicious meals daily.
- Design creative, seasonal menus for residents with diverse preferences.
- Maintain the highest standards of food safety and kitchen hygiene.
- Manage kitchen budgets, stock control and ordering efficiently.
- Create a dining experience that enhances residents' quality of life.
