Job summary

Coutts Commercial Hotel in Ayr seeks a Head Chef to lead the kitchen, shaping menus and delivering pub classics with fresh local ingredients.

We’re searching for a Head Chef to lead the kitchen at theCoutts Commercial Hotel - the beating heart of our local community and the place where pub classics meet plates locals can’t get enough of.

On the main strip of Queen Street, in the heart of Ayr, Coutts Commercial Hotel has been a local favourite for years. We have something for every occasion, from families dining together in our Bistro catching up over delicious meals featuring fresh ingredients from local producers, to mates catching up over a beer in our Sports Bar, simply relaxing or enjoying the game on the big screen.

A day in the life of a Head Chef:

• Command the kitchen like it’s your own, keeping it running smooth, safe, and profitable
• Be a key part of the leadership crew, working closely with the Publican and FOH team

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.
