The Coolaroo Hotel in Coolaroo, VIC, is seeking a hands-on Head Chef to lead our kitchen and drive top-quality pub dining for locals. You will own the kitchen operations, safety, and profitability while mentoring a high-performing team.

Bring trade cooking qualifications and food safety certifications, plus a passion for creating crave-worthy plates. The role is on-site with a base salary of $85,000 plus super, bonus, and group-wide discounts within the Endeavour Group network.

We’re searching for a Head Chef to lead the kitchen at the Coolaroo Hotel - the beating heart of our local community and the place where pub classics meet plates locals can’t get enough of.

In the heart of Coolaroo on Barry Road, The Coolaroo Hotel is a family friendly destination north of Melbourne.

We're the perfect place for families to meet for an overdue long lunch, for mates to catch up for a beer and watch the game, to celebrate a milestone birthday or special event, and for visitors to stay in affordable accommodation when north of the city.

Our Bistro has something for everyone, including fresh seafood, steaks, pastas, salads and all the pub classics you know and love. We have a dedicated menu for our youngest guests to keep everyone happy, and a delicious and affordable seniors menu.

A day in the life of a Head Chef:

Inherent requirements:

• This is a hands-on role that involves manual handling and lifting as part of regular duties (e.g. moving stock, kegs, and deliveries). Applicants must have the ability to perform physical tasks safely and efficiently.

• You’ve got trade cooking qualifications and food safety certifications sorted
