Job summary

Iluka Resources invites applications for a Health & Safety Superintendent to embed a strong safety culture at our Balranald operation. The role sits within one of four Extraction teams supporting a 24/7 operation, using remotely operated HDD technology.

This permanent, full-time position offers a 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off roster, competitive remuneration with allowances and bonus, and opportunities for training and development.

Qualifications

• Experience operating HDD rigs and related equipment.
• Strong HDD techniques including drilling, reaming and pullback operations.
• Proficient with HDD tracking and steering systems for accurate placement.
• Current Australian driver’s license; HT/HC license desirable.
• Ability to understand site conditions and work safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Drill Operator on the HDD Maxi rig and support rig operation.
• Carry out labour tasks on the rig deck, loading pipes and rods.
• Join instrumentation wires inside rods and wash drill pipe.
• Act as relief Driller when required.
• Ensure safe execution and compliance with site procedures.
