Job summary

Macmahon is seeking Underground Drill Fitters to join the Granny Smith project. You will diagnose, repair and service Sandvik drills, ensuring OEM standards and site procedures are followed while maintaining safe, reliable equipment performance.

Based at Granny Smith with a 2:2 roster, this temp-to-perm opportunity offers competitive contractor rates and a collaborative team environment focused on safety and quality workmanship.

Qualifications

• Australian-recognised trade qualification.
• Experience with Sandvik Drills, ideally in Underground Mining.
• Ability to work as part of a team and step up when needed.
• Commitment to safe work practices and job quality.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics, repairs and preventative maintenance on Sandvik Drills such as DS241 & DS422i.
• Complete servicing to OEM standards and site procedures.
• Support strong equipment availability and safe, reliable performance.
• Speak-up and contribute to our culture; everyone home safe, every swing.
• Work closely with production and planning teams to schedule work.

About the Role

We are looking for Underground Drill Fitters to join the team. You'll carry out repairs, servicing and diagnostics on Sandvik Drills across our Granny Smith Project. You'll work alongside experienced teammates who share knowledge and support each other to get the job done safely and efficiently.
