Job summary

Thiess is seeking an HME Heavy Diesel Fitter to join our Maintenance Team on a 14/7 roster. You will service, repair and maintain mobile fleet including CAT 793, 16M, 994, Komatsu WA1200, Liebherr T264, and adhere to servicing documentation.

With a trade qualification and at least 5 years in mining or heavy earth moving, you will ensure safety, perform pre-start checks, and benefit from full camp facilities, flights from capital cities, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter or equivalent.
• Minimum of 5 years post trade experience in mining or Heavy Earth Moving induction.
• Experience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component change outs and servicing of CAT, Komatsu and Liebherr.
• Experience in vehicle air conditioning systems (desirable).
• Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times.

Responsibilities

• Operate on a 14/7 roster with 12-hour shifts.
• Perform servicing, repair and maintenance of mobile fleet to high standards.
• Source technical information from reference manuals, bulletins and OEM systems.
• Maintain high housekeeping standards and carry out pre-start checks.

In this role, you will:

• Work a 14/7 Roster, 7 Days and 7 Nights, 12 hours shifts
• Perform the servicing, repair and maintenance of mobile fleet including CAT 793, 16M, 994, Komatsu WA1200, Liebherr T264 and other equipment in accordance with Thiess servicing, lubrication and maintenance systems documentation
• Completing general maintenance, breakdowns, services and component change outs to a high standard
• Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer bases systems
• Setting and maintaining high housekeeping standards
• Carrying out pre-start checks

About you

• Trade qualification as Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter or equivalent
• Minimum of 5 years post trade experience in mining or Heavy Earth Moving induction
• Experience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component change outs and servicing of CAT, Komatsu and Liebherr
• Experience in vehicle air conditioning systems (desirable)
• Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times
