Job summary

Techforce JobAdder is seeking an HD Fitter for a permanent surface gold mine in Townsville and Northern QLD. The roster includes 8/6 days or 7/7 nights, with DIDO from Townsville and transport provided.

A brand‑new camp offers gym, meals and accommodation, plus annual and sick leave and long‑term job security. The role provides progression into leading hand, planning or supervisory pathways, requiring a trade certificate in Heavy Diesel Fitting with solid surface mining fleet experience.

Qualifications

• Trade certificate in Heavy Diesel Fitting, Mobile Plant Mechanics or equivalent (AQF Cert III).
• Solid HD Fitter experience on surface mining fleet.
• Confidence diagnosing and repairing across excavators, dozers, graders, loaders and trucks.
• Current C class driver's licence.
• Standard 11 or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screen.

The fleet you'll be working on

• Liebherr R9150 and Hitachi EX1200 excavators
• CAT 777 haul trucks
• CAT 14M and 12M graders
• CAT D9 and D10 dozers
• CAT 980 and 988 loaders
• Compactor and water carts
• 2 x Moxy dump trucks

What you'll bring

• Trade certificate in Heavy Diesel Fitting, Mobile Plant Mechanics or equivalent (AQF Cert III)
• Solid HD Fitter experience on surface mining fleet
