Thiess is seeking experienced Heavy Duty Fitters to join our maintenance team at the Gruyere project in Western Australia. You will work on fleet including CAT 785, Komatsu 830E, excavators, drills, dozers and graders in a structured, safety-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Trade cert and mining equipment fleet experience required.
• Ability to troubleshoot and fault find complex mechanical/hydraulic problems.
• Experience with preventative and breakdown maintenance.

Responsabilités

• Maintain and service heavy mining equipment on site.
• Troubleshoot and fault-find to minimise downtime.
• Adhere to safety policies and procedures and communicate effectively.

The Role & Project

Thiess are seeking experienced Heavy Duty Fitters to join our maintenance team at our Gruyere project.

Some of the fleet you can expect to work on include CAT 785 & Komatsu 830E Haul trucks, Liebherr 9400 and Komatsu PC1250 excavators, Sandvik and Epiroc drills, CAT D10 dozers & CAT 16M Graders.

The Gruyere Gold Mine is an open pit operation located within the Yamarna greenstone belt approximately 200 kilometres east of Laverton in Western Australia.

To be successful in this role, you will have;

• Relevant Australian Recognised Trade Cert
• Surface mining equipment fleet experience
• Ability to troubleshoot and fault find complex mechanical and hydraulic problems.
• Preventative and breakdown maintenance experience
• Excellent communication skills.
• Highly motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Good knowledge and ability to follow work health & safety procedures and policies
