Job summary

McIvor Diesel Service Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and reliable HC Truck Driver/Water Tanker Operator to join our team on a casual basis for a 12-week project on a 7 on/7 off roster, dayshift, starting ASAP in Moranbah, QLD.

You will transport water and other materials, perform pre/post inspections, complete logs, and maintain safety and professionalism on site. Accommodation is provided; experience in mining/construction settings is valued.

Qualifications

• HC/MC (Heavy/Multi Combination) Driver's License valid in Queensland.
• Current Construction White Card (this can be obtained).
• Coal Board Medical or ability to gain a Medical Clearance for the Position.
• Competency in RII Conduct Bulk Water Truck Operations (this can be obtained).
• Experience operating Heavy Vehicles, rigid and trailer combinations.
• Strong knowledge of heavy vehicle operation, maintenance and roadworthiness standards.
• Familiarity with construction or mining industry practices is highly desirable.
• Proven track record of safe driving practices and adherence to traffic regulations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliability, punctuality and professional attitude towards work commitments.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain Heavy Combination vehicles and water tanker equipment in compliance with all relevant legislation and safety regulations.
• Transport water, fuel and other materials to construction sites, mining operations and other designated locations.
• Conduct pre-operation and post-operation vehicle inspections to ensure all equipment is in safe working order.
• Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery documentation and vehicle maintenance records.
• Communicate effectively with site supervisors, clients and dispatch teams to ensure timely and safe deliveries.
• Adhere to all traffic laws, workplace health and safety requirements, and company safety protocols.
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance tasks and report any mechanical issues or defects promptly.
• Load and unload tanker contents safely and efficiently, following environmental and safety guidelines.
• Respond professionally to client requests and maintain positive working relationships on site.

The current project is forecast to run for 12 weeks, which we require 2 x Operators on a 7 on/7 off roster, dayshift only. Starting ASAP. Accommodation would be provided. This position is based in Moranbah, QLD 4744. This role is fundamental to our operations, ensuring the safe and efficient transport and delivery of water and other materials across our service areas. As a HC (Heavy Combination) Truck Driver/Water Tanker Operator, you will play a crucial role in supporting our construction and plant operations, maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism and customer service.
