Job summary

Garden Gear Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced HC driver for our Bulk Haulage Division based in Fyshwick, ACT. The role involves safely operating cement tankers, performing pre-start checks, and maintaining delivery records while providing excellent customer service.

You will work full time with opportunities for overtime and intrastate travel. A valid HC licence and a proven safe driving record are required, and flexibility with hours is encouraged.

Qualifications

• Valid HC driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Experience operating heavy combination vehicles (cement tankers).
• Strong knowledge of road rules and safe driving practices.
• Attention to detail and safety-minded approach.
• Punctual, reliable and able to work independently or with a team.
• Willingness to travel overnight intrastate is highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate heavy combination cement tanker and deliver to customers on schedule.
• Perform daily pre-start inspections and report issues.
• Ensure safe loading, transport and unloading of materials.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.
• Adhere to road laws and company policies.
• Provide excellent customer service to clients.
