Launceston Church Grammar School in northern Tasmania invites applications for a Learning Area Leader – HaSS. This permanent, full-time role includes strategic and operational leadership of the HaSS department, guiding curriculum development, assessment practices and student outcomes in line with the School’s vision.

You will lead, mentor and support teachers, oversee planning and moderation, manage department priorities and budgets, and contribute to co-curricular life.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Education.
• Current Tasmanian Teachers Registration.
• Current WWVP clearance.
• HLTAID012 first aid certification.
• Proven leadership experience or capacity to lead teams.
• Expertise in curriculum design and exemplary teaching practice.
• Strong student welfare understanding and wellbeing focus.
• Innovative initiative with evidence of impact on learning outcomes.

Responsabilidades

• Provide strategic and operational leadership across the HaSS department.
• Lead curriculum planning, development and innovation across HaSS.
• Oversee assessment planning and moderation to meet ACARA/TCE standards.
• Monitor student outcomes and drive continuous improvement.
• Mentor, support and line-manage department staff, including recruitment and performance processes.
• Align department priorities with the School’s vision and budget.
• Represent HaSS on internal/external committees and contribute to co-curricular life.
