Job summary

Whizdom is seeking an experienced HashiCorp Vault Product Owner to lead strategy, governance and adoption of an enterprise secrets management platform. You will define the product vision, operating model and service catalogue, working with cybersecurity, engineering and business stakeholders to champion platform adoption in a complex tech environment.

You will drive the Vault capability roadmap, manage licensing and vendor relationships, align with security requirements and report on adoption

Qualifications

• Experience as a Product Owner, Service Owner or Technical Product Manager in a large enterprise environment.
• Strong experience with HashiCorp Vault and enterprise secrets management platforms.
• Proven ability to develop product strategies, roadmaps and operating models.
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders and influencing strategic outcomes.
• Understanding of cybersecurity principles, identity and access management, privileged access management and cloud security.
• Strong commercial acumen with experience managing licensing, vendor relationships and platform consumption.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in complex, large-scale technology environments with multiple delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Own the overall Vault product vision, strategy and roadmap.
• Define the enterprise Vault operating model, capabilities and service catalogue.
• Identify business and security use cases for Vault across applications, infrastructure, cloud and network environments.
• Establish priorities based on business risks, security requirements, operational benefits and business demand.
• Develop and maintain a multi-year Vault adoption and maturity roadmap.
• Act as the primary product owner and SME for Vault initiatives.
• Manage relationships with HashiCorp and relevant technology partners.
• Manage product licensing, consumption and commercial optimisation.
• Track Vault Enterprise feature requirements against current licensing entitlements.
• Lead vendor roadmap discussions, product evaluations and technical workshops.
• Identify opportunities to optimise platform costs and improve operational efficiency.
• Engage senior stakeholders across cybersecurity, technology and business functions.
• Define and report on product KPIs, adoption metrics, risk reduction outcomes and operational benefits.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced HashiCorp Vault Product Owner to lead the strategy, governance, adoption and ongoing evolution of a critical enterprise secrets management and privileged access platform. This role sits within a large, complex technology environment and will be responsible for driving the organisation's Vault capability roadmap, ensuring secure credential management practices are embedded across applications, cloud, infrastructure and network services.

Working closely with cybersecurity, engineering, architecture and business stakeholders, you will define the product vision, operating model and service catalogue while championing platform adoption and continuous improvement. This is a high-impact role for someone who combines strong product ownership expertise with a solid understanding of modern security and cloud technologies.
