Job summary

Merivale is seeking a full-time Handyperson to support the Facilities team across Sydney venues, based at The Ivy complex. You will respond to maintenance requests, handling painting, plumbing, joinery, tiling, and general repairs to keep venues looking and functioning at their best.

Ideal candidates have hands-on maintenance experience, carpentry skills, and a valid NSW driver’s licence to coordinate with external contractors as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance or facilities roles.
• Carpentry experience is highly regarded.
• Must have NSW driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Respond to maintenance requests across Merivale venues.
• Perform painting, plumbing, furniture repair, joinery, tiling and carpentry tasks.
• Coordinate with external suppliers and contractors as needed.
• Help maintain presentation and upkeep of properties.

The Role

This is not your traditional Handyperson role. Join the world of hospitality and work across some of Sydney’s most iconic venues, where every day brings something different.

We’re looking for a full-time Handyperson to join our Facilities team, based at The Ivy complex in the CBD and supporting Merivale venues across Sydney. On any given day, you’ll respond to maintenance requests from our venues, with work spanning painting, general plumbing, furniture repair and joinery, tiling, carpentry, and general repairs.

You’ll play an important role in maintaining the presentation, functionality and overall upkeep of our properties, while also coordinating with external suppliers and contractors when required.

Ideally you have

• Previous experience in a maintenance or facilities role
• A strong understanding of general building maintenance, with carpentry experience highly regarded
• A flexible, hands-on approach and willingness to work alongside other trades within the maintenance team
• A current NSW driver’s licence
