Job summary

The Full Moon Hotel is seeking a reliable handyperson/grounds maintenance person to look after the hotel's property, gardens and facilities. The role combines maintenance, gardening and occasional painting or repairs, with early starts on a Friday to Tuesday roster.

Salary is negotiable within a 69k–73k AUD range plus super, with full‑time or part‑time options and stable, family‑owned operations. You’ll work independently and take pride in a well‑maintained property.

Qualifications

• Experience in maintenance, gardening, property maintenance or caretaking.
• Able to work independently with initiative.
• Physically capable of outdoor manual work.
• Willing to start at 6:00am and follow a Friday–Tuesday roster.
• A relevant trade qualification is highly regarded but not required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine repairs and general maintenance across hotel and surroundings.
• Maintain lawns, gardens and landscaped areas; plant, prune and water vegetation.
• Operate cleaning, gardening and maintenance machinery.
• Assist with cellar duties and stock movement; general back‑of‑house upkeep.
• Handle chemicals safely and follow WHS procedures; identify and address maintenance issues early.
