View Hotels in North Sydney is seeking a reliable Handyman/Painter to join our Engineering team in a full-time role, performing hands-on maintenance across guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house facilities.

The ideal candidate will have painting, patching and general maintenance skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or with the team in a busy hospitality environment.

Responsibilities

• Paint, patch and perform general touch-up works throughout the hotel.
• Carry out general handyman and minor maintenance duties.
• Make basic repairs to fixtures and hotel equipment.
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks.
• Assist with room and public-area maintenance.
• Respond to maintenance requests from operations teams.
• Identify issues and report larger works to engineering leads.
• Support the engineering team with ongoing projects and maintenance programs.

About the Role

As part of our Engineering Department, you will support the day-to-day maintenance and presentation of the hotel, helping ensure our guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house facilities are maintained to a high standard.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Painting, patching and general touch-up works throughout the hotel
• General handyman and minor maintenance duties
• Basic repairs to fixtures, fittings and hotel equipment
• Preventative maintenance tasks
• Assisting with room and public-area maintenance
• Responding to maintenance requests from operational departments
• Identifying maintenance issues and reporting larger works to the Chief Engineer
• Supporting the Engineering team with ongoing projects and maintenance programs
• Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment

About You

We are looking for someone dependable, organised, and genuinely proud of the quality of their work.

You will ideally have:

• Previous experience in a handyman, maintenance or painting role
• Good general maintenance and repair skills
• Painting and patching experience

• $70,000–$75,000 + Superannuation, depending on experience
