Red Rock Maintenance Pty Ltd in Broome, WA is seeking a reliable Handyperson to join our maintenance team on a full-time basis. The role covers general property maintenance, repairs, painting, cleaning and upkeep of residential and commercial properties.

The successful candidate will work safely and independently, balancing hands-on tasks with team collaboration. A trade background is preferred but practical experience and a can-do attitude are valued, with a 38-hour week and competitive salary

Responsabilités

• Carrying out general building and property maintenance tasks
• Repairing and maintaining doors, windows, screens, fences, cupboards, shelving and other fixtures
• Adjusting doors, windows and other fittings where required
• Repairing and maintaining internal and external surfaces
• Preparing surfaces for painting, including filling holes and cracks, sanding and applying suitable preparation products
• Painting walls, ceilings, doors, window frames, skirting boards and other surfaces
• Applying gap filler and completing minor finishing works
• Replacing damaged or defective fixtures and fittings
• Performing minor repairs and maintenance to buildings and facilities
• Assisting with grounds and external property maintenance
• Clearing rubbish, leaves and general debris from work areas
• Using hand tools, power tools and maintenance equipment safely
• Loading, unloading and transporting materials and equipment
• Maintaining clean, safe and organised work areas
• Identifying maintenance issues and reporting matters requiring specialist trades or further attention
• Following workplace health and safety procedures and site requirements
• Completing other reasonable maintenance duties associated with the role

About the role

Red Rock Maintenance is seeking a reliable and practical Handyperson to join our maintenance team in Broome on a full-time basis.

The successful applicant will assist with general property maintenance, repairs, painting, cleaning and upkeep of residential, commercial and other maintained properties.

This is a hands-on position suited to someone who takes pride in their work, can work safely and independently, and has a practical approach to solving maintenance issues.

About you

• Previous experience in general maintenance, property maintenance, painting, repairs, construction or a similar hands-on role


• Practical skills and the ability to undertake a range of maintenance tasks


• Experience preparing and painting internal and external surfaces


• Ability to use common hand and power tools safely


• Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship


• Ability to work independently and as part of a small team


• Good physical fitness and ability to undertake manual work


• Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic


• Good communication skills


• Commitment to workplace health and safety


• Australian driver's licence and reliable transport


• Relevant licences, tickets or certificates will be viewed favourably


• A trade qualification is desirable but not essential where the applicant can demonstrate relevant practical experience and competency.
