Tamworth Hospital is looking for a practical, reliable and team-focused Maintenance Handyman to join our busy Maintenance team.
As a Maintenance Handyman, you will work alongside our tradespeople and other handymen to support the day-to-day maintenance and operational needs of Tamworth Hospital.
Your work will contribute to maintaining a safe, clean and functional hospital environment while ensuring maintenance activities are completed efficiently and with minimal disruption to patients and staff.

Our Maintenance team is made up of experienced Plumbers, Fitters, Electricians, Carpenters and Handymen, working together to keep the hospital environment safe, functional and well maintained for staff, patients and visitors.
You will be supported by experienced members of the Maintenance team and Maintenance Management. We understand that everyone brings different skills and experience to the role, and training and additional support will be provided where required.

Working in hospital maintenance is more than keeping buildings and equipment in good working order — your work helps create a safe and functional environment for patients, staff and the wider community.
Responsible for carrying out maintenance work within hospital buildings and grounds as per AFMs generated for Handyman duties to ensure an efficient and safe workplace.
To assist trade staff in the repair and service of equipment and carry out planned and preventative maintenance on equipment, plant, machinery and facilities to ensure adequate and safe equipment is available.
Perform the relevant duties that may be required by the Maintenance Manager or Deputy Maintenance Manager such as using the fork lift and pick up and delivery of goods and materials locally if required.
