Hastings Deering (Australia) Ltd in Rockhampton is seeking an experienced Trades Assistant to join our CRC team on a permanent, full-time basis. The role supports mechanical repairs, equipment handling, and parts management, operating Monday to Friday with a strong safety focus.

You will work alongside a dedicated team delivering reliable service and support to customers, with growth opportunities across Hastings Deering's Caterpillar network in Queensland and surrounding regions.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in mechanical, workshop or trades assistant role.
• Excellent communication skills and teamwork.
• Licences to operate warehouse equipment are a plus.
• Organised, reliable and proactive attitude.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.

Responsabilités

• Assist trade-qualified personnel with mechanical repairs and rebuilds of heavy equipment and machinery.
• Operate and support loading/unloading of equipment and use material-handling equipment where licensed.
• Help manage parts, tools and inventory, ensuring items are logged and available for technicians.
• Follow health and safety procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
• Contribute to day-to-day operational activities and support the team.
