Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a hands-on Installation Supervisor to lead and coordinate installation crews on major construction and infrastructure projects across Australia. You will read designs, plan site activities and ensure safe, efficient propping system installations and dismantling in line with Australian Standards.

You'll mentor team members, maintain equipment readiness, build strong customer relationships and promote a proactive safety culture while delivering projects to the highest

Qualifications

• Experience leading small crews in construction, civil, infrastructure, rigging, steel erection, formwork, shoring or propping environments.
• Valid driver’s licence.
• Basic or Intermediate Rigging ticket.
• Strong planning, organisational and people leadership skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering plans.
• A proactive approach to safety, quality and customer service.
• Excellent communication skills and the confidence to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
• A hands‑on attitude and willingness to lead from the front.
• Strong understanding of site safety requirements and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Leading installation crews on construction, civil and infrastructure projects.
• Installing, dismantling and relocating propping systems in accordance with engineering designs and Australian Standards.
• Planning site activities and coordinating labour, equipment and project requirements.
• Ensuring equipment is inspected, maintained and ready for safe operation.
• Reading and interpreting drawings, installation plans and technical documentation.
• Building strong relationships with customers, site supervisors and project teams.
• Identifying opportunities to support customer requirements and business growth.
• Completing installation documentation and site records accurately.
• Promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring compliance with all company and site requirements.
• Mentoring and supporting team members to achieve project objectives.
