Job summary

The Kraft Heinz Company is seeking Casual Production Operators at its Echuca site to support safe, efficient production across processing, handling and packaging tasks. The role involves 12-hour day or night shifts and a hands-on, rostered approach across multiple areas.

Ideal candidates hold a forklift licence, strong safety discipline, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team, with a track record in food manufacturing and precise record keeping.

• Current Forklift Licence.
• Commitment to food safety and personal safety/hygiene practices.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and data recording.
• Mechanical aptitude and safe working practices.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience in the food manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities

• Operate & monitor equipment as trained; report issues to the Team Leader/Line Leader.
• Keep the line supplied with packaging/consumables (e.g., pouches, lids, labels).
• Follow all safety, food safety, quality, environmental and hygiene requirements, including SOPs and PPE.
• Participate in required site communications (pre-start checks, toolbox talks, etc.).
• Pack, re-pack, assemble and palletise products as needed.
• Complete basic quality checks (visual, pack/label) and record outcomes.
• Move materials/finished goods using pallet jacks/trolleys or powered equipment.
• Maintain cleanliness and housekeeping per schedules/procedures.
• Support other teams as needed to meet production priorities.
