Job summary

Rio Tinto, in partnership with Chandler Macleod, seeks an experienced Mechanical Maintainer for the Mine Water Maintenance team in Pannawonica. The role operates on an 8 days on 6 days off roster (days only) and requires strict adherence to safety and asset-management practices.

Reporting to the MWM Supervisor, you will maintain plant equipment, identify defects, and support continuous improvement within the maintenance framework.

Qualifications

• Proven mechanical maintenance experience in mining equipment.
• Ability to identify defects and feedback asset performance.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance on mechanical assets to ensure safe operation.
• Identify defects and raise work orders in the asset system.
• Support defect elimination and asset tactic reviews.
• Follow approved job instructions and standards during work.
• Complete post-maintenance commissioning and housekeeping.
• Work safely within Rio Tinto procedures.
