Job summary

Smart Landscapes on the Mornington Peninsula and South East Melbourne is seeking an experienced Landscape Team Lead to oversee day-to-day delivery on site. You will work closely with our Construction Manager to plan works, lead crews, and ensure safety, quality and on-time completion.

The role requires hands-on landscape or civil construction experience, ability to read drawings, and strong communication. You’ll progress toward higher responsibilities as the business grows, with clear milestones

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience in landscape or civil construction.
• Proven ability to lead and get the best from a crew.
• Confident reading drawings and specifications.
• Strong communication and issue-escalation skills.
• Organised, practical and calm under pressure on site.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate landscape construction crews day to day.
• Allocate tasks, set priorities and keep production on track.
• Check quality as work progresses and fix issues.
• Coordinate materials, plant and equipment for upcoming work.
• Report progress and issues to the Construction Manager.
• Represent the company professionally with clients and other trades.
