Job summary

Rosemont Stud, based in Victoria, seeks a hands-on Farm Maintenance Officer to care for our farms, facilities and infrastructure to a high standard. You will identify maintenance needs and complete tasks efficiently alongside our Farm Services and Farm teams.

Responsibilities include fencing, gates, laneways, water systems, buildings and grounds, as well as servicing tractors and other machinery. The role rewards practical problem solving, independence and a strong work ethic in a busy farming

Qualifications

• Experience in agricultural operations or farm maintenance.
• Strong practical maintenance and problem-solving skills.
• Experience operating tractors and agricultural machinery.
• Knowledge of fencing and water systems.
• Good organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks.
• A current driver’s licence.

Responsibilities

• Day-to-day maintenance and presentation of our farms and facilities.
• Fencing, gates, laneways, roads, yards and general farm infrastructure.
• Maintenance of buildings, staff accommodation and other property facilities.
• Grounds maintenance including mowing, slashing, spraying and weed control.
• Water infrastructure including troughs, tanks, pumps and pipelines.
• General maintenance and servicing of tractors, vehicles, mowers and farm machinery.
• Undertaking preventative maintenance across the properties.
• Assisting with farm improvement and infrastructure projects.
• Working alongside external tradespeople and contractors when required.
• Identifying maintenance issues and ensuring they are addressed promptly.
