Job summary

SEEK is seeking an experienced property caretaker to oversee a large rural estate on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula. The role covers day‑to‑day management of the home, landscaped grounds, paddocks, and a thriving Airbnb with guest bookings, ensuring top standards and seamless operations.

You will work largely independently, coordinate cleaning, maintenance, and supplies, supervise contractors, and maintain tractors and farm equipment. Accommodation may be available for the right candidate.

A unique opportunity exists for an experienced and highly capable individual or couple to manage and care for a substantial private property on Victoria's Mornington Peninsula.

This is a hands-on role requiring someone who takes genuine pride in maintaining a high-standard rural property and can work independently with minimal supervision. Accommodation may be available for the right applicant.

About the Property

A large country residence and extensive landscaped gardens

Small farming operations and paddocks

Various outbuildings and infrastructure

An Airbnb accommodation business with regular guest bookings

Key Responsibilities

Property & Farm Management

Day-to-day oversight of the entire property

General farm duties including livestock monitoring, fencing, pasture and paddock maintenance

Operation and basic maintenance of tractors, mowers and farm equipment

Maintenance of tracks, sheds, water systems and infrastructure

Coordination and supervision of contractors and service providers

Routine maintenance of a large residence

Gardening, mowing, pruning and presentation of landscaped grounds

Monitoring and arranging repairs as required

Maintaining the property to a high standard throughout the year

Airbnb Management

Overseeing guest bookings and property readiness

Coordinating cleaning, linen and consumables

Conducting guest check-ins/check-outs as required

Ensuring excellent presentation and guest experience

Managing minor guest enquiries and issues

General Responsibilities

Property security and monitoring

Stock and supplies management

Reporting maintenance requirements and capital works

Assistance with occasional special projects and property improvements

About You

Preferred Experience

Property caretaker or farm manager experience

Gardening or horticultural knowledge

Basic handyman, maintenance or trade skills

Airbnb, accommodation or hospitality experience

Tractor and machinery operation experience
