Job summary

Macquarie University in North Ryde is seeking three Lecturer (Level B) roles to bridge engineering theory and practice across Civil, Mechanical, and Mechatronic disciplines. These full-time, continuing positions emphasize prototyping, design, and hands-on, project-based education that inspires both undergraduate and HDR students.

You will contribute to growing programs, supervise HDR students, and develop a strong research portfolio translating ideas into real-world solutions while collaborating

Qualifications

• A PhD in Civil, Mechanical, Mechatronic, or a closely related engineering discipline.
• Demonstrated hands-on engineering skills with a track record of physical prototyping, experimental system design, field testing, or practical project execution.
• Evidence of capability to design and deliver engaging, high-quality, project-led learning experiences that develop both the technical and practical competencies of engineering students.
• A developing or established track record of quality publications and a clear trajectory for securing external research funding or industry partnerships.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplinary boundaries and work with industry partners.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to undergraduate and postgraduate programs.
• Supervise HDR students.
