Job summary

Redstone Recruitment in Sydney is seeking an experienced Nurse Unit Manager or senior perioperative nurse ready to step into a CEO/Director of Nursing role at a small day hospital. You will lead clinical and operational delivery in a hands-on environment.

This permanent, full-time opportunity offers a salary from A$150K plus super, Monday to Friday, and a close-knit, supportive team in a convenient Sydney location.

Qualifications

• Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
• Strong perioperative/theatre nursing background.
• Previous NUM, ANUM or senior nursing leadership experience.
• Specialty focus: Ophthalmology; experience in this area is highly advantageous.
• Understanding of clinical governance, accreditation, quality and risk.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Hands-on leadership style.

Responsibilities

• Providing hands-on clinical and operational leadership.
• Overseeing the day-to-day running of the theatre and recovery areas.
• Managing workforce planning, rostering and staff performance.
• Ensuring accreditation, compliance, risk and quality requirements are met.
• Working closely with surgeons, specialists and other key stakeholders.
• Supporting business development and the ongoing growth of the service.
• Being actively involved in the clinical environment and assisting the team when required.
• Building a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
