Job summary

RUD Chains in Brisbane is seeking a hands-on leader to oversee a small team of Assembly Technicians and Trade Assistants at our Larapinta workshop. You’ll coordinate daily production, perform hands-on mechanical assembly, and drive safety, quality and on-time delivery on the shop floor.

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you’ll develop people, coach team members, and lead by example. This is ideal for an experienced tradesperson stepping into leadership or a supervisor who enjoys hands‑on

Qualifications

• Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting or similar.
• Strong mechanical assembly and workshop experience.
• Previous leadership, leading hand or supervisory experience.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Commitment to safety, quality and teamwork.
• High Risk Forklift licence - highly regarded.

RUD Chains is seeking a hands-on leader with immediately start at our Head Office at Larapinta QLD 4110. If you thrive in a fast-paced workshop environment, enjoys motivating and developing others, takes ownership of outcomes, and leads by example on safety, quality and performance.

Monday – Friday 6.30am – 3pm $88,000 – $95,000 per year (based on experience) + super

Reporting to the Workshop Supervisor, you'll be responsible for coordinating workflow, maintaining quality and safety standards, and ensuring customer orders are delivered on time. This is the ideal opportunity for an experienced tradesperson ready to step into a leadership role or an existing supervisor who enjoys working alongside their team.
