Job summary

Hallam Truck Centre, a Kenworth and DAF dealership in Melbourne’s south-east, invites mechanically minded candidates to start a four-year apprenticeship toward a Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology. You’ll learn alongside experienced technicians in a busy workshop, gaining real hands-on experience with heavy vehicles.

You'll diagnose faults, service and repair diesel engines, electrical and braking systems, and develop skills to become a qualified Heavy Vehicle

Qualifications

• Year 11 completion (high school).
• Strong mechanical aptitude and interest in trucks.
• Willingness to learn and practical problem-solving approach.
• Positive attitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Assist in diagnosing faults using diagnostic equipment.
• Service, inspect and repair heavy vehicles.
• Work on diesel engines, electrical systems and braking systems.
• Gain hands-on experience and build skills toward qualification.
