Job summary

Stanley & Co in Redfern is seeking a passionate Colourist / Hair Stylist for a part-time role with potential to go full-time. You will perform cutting, colouring, styling and treatments while delivering a welcoming client experience and showcasing work online.

You’ll lead personalised consultations, educate clients on at-home care, and help grow the salon through social media content and premium product lines. Flexible weekly schedule and commission-based growth are offered.

Qualifications

• Certificate III or IV in Hairdressing is required.
• Minimum two years of salon experience.
• Strong cutting, colouring and styling skills with an artistic eye.

Job description

Stanley & Co is looking for a passionate, qualified Colourist / Hair Stylist to join our team in Redfern. This is initially a part-time role with the aim to become full time.

You’ll deliver high-quality cutting, colouring, styling and treatments, create a welcoming experience for every client, and help grow the salon by showcasing your work online.

Key responsibilities

Provide expert cutting, colouring, styling and treatments so every client leaves feeling their best.

Run personalised consultations, recommending styles and products to suit each client's hair and lifestyle.

Educate clients on at-home hair care and recommend premium products, including O&M and Mr Smith.

Capture and share your work on the salon's social media.

Keep a clean, organised workspace and support day-to-day salon operations, including bookings and stock.

Work towards targets for service revenue, retail sales and social media content.

About you

Certificate III or IV in Hairdressing (or equivalent industry experience).

Minimum two years of salon experience.

Strong cutting, colouring and styling skills with an artistic eye for detail.

Confident in consultations, with excellent communication skills and a genuine love of working with people.

Experience with curly and textured hair, or advanced colour certifications, is a bonus.

Someone who cares about their craft, their clients and the experience they create.
