Hair Colosseum in Ashfield NSW is seeking talented Senior and Junior Hairstylists to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced, client-focused salon. We offer full-time and part-time roles that reward artistry, technical skill, and dedication to hair care in a professional setting.

You will work closely with clients to understand their goals, perform cuts, colours and treatments, maintain hygiene standards, and build lasting relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a professional hairstylist with a strong portfolio.
• Qualification in hairdressing from an accredited institution.
• Proficiency in cutting, colouring, styling, and treatments.
• Senior Stylists: 5+ years; Junior Stylists: 1-2 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality hairstyling services including cuts, colours, treatments, and styling for diverse clientele
• Consult with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and hair goals, offering expert recommendations
• Maintain impeccable standards of hygiene, safety, and salon cleanliness at all times
• Build and maintain strong client relationships to encourage repeat business and client loyalty
• Stay current with the latest hairstyling trends, techniques, and products through ongoing professional development
• For Senior Stylists: mentor and provide guidance to junior team members, assisting with their skill development
• For Senior Stylists: contribute to salon procedures, training initiatives, and team excellence
• Manage appointment schedules efficiently and communicate professionally with clients
• Maintain detailed client records and preferences to personalise future appointments
• Uphold the salon's reputation through exceptional customer service and professional conduct

What we’re looking for

Proven experience as a professional hairstylist with a strong portfolio demonstrating technical skill and creativity (Senior Stylists: 5+ years; Junior Stylists: recent qualification or 1-2 years' experience)

Qualification in hairdressing from an accredited institution or recognised training programme

Proficiency in a wide range of hairstyling techniques including cutting, colouring, styling, and treatments

Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse clients

A passion for staying current with hair trends, styles, and industry innovations

Excellent time management and organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple clients efficiently

Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering consistently high-quality results

Professional, reliable, and team-oriented approach to work

Knowledge of hair health, product selection, and client care recommendations

For Senior Stylists: demonstrated mentoring ability and leadership qualities

For Senior Stylists: experience in training, guiding, or supervising other stylists is highly desirable
