Job summary

4Cyte Pathology in Sydney is seeking a Haematology Laboratory Scientist to review and report blood films on a rotating roster, including weekends. Based on experience, you may work in other lab sections depending on needs.

The successful candidate will hold a Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science (or AIMS-assessed equivalent with Haematology subjects) and have demonstrated morphology and blood film reporting expertise, with additional coagulation or flow cytometry experience advantageous.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Medical Laboratory Science or AIMS-assessed equivalent with Haematology subjects.
• Experience in Morphology and blood film reporting is mandatory.
• Experience in other areas including coagulation, Immuno-Haematology and/or flow cytometry is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review, interpretation, troubleshooting and reporting of blood films.
• Adhering to company and quality policies and procedures.
• Participating in relevant QAP and internal education programs.
• Demonstrate the ability to work with minimal supervision.
