Job summary

Maribyrnong College is seeking an instrumental music program facilitator to lead ensembles, coach students for AMEB examinations, and support school productions. The role focuses on delivering group and individual instruction and coordinating performances both in and outside the regular school day.

The successful candidate will work within a dynamic student-centered music department, contributing to inclusive ensembles, managing rehearsals, and assisting with program administration and event

Qualifications

• SC1: Demonstrated capacity to perform duties consistent with established guidelines and frameworks, including coordinating and supporting others in respect to specific work functions relevant to the role.
• SC2: Demonstrated capacity to work and collaborate with others in a team environment.
• SC3: Demonstrated capacity to communicate effectively in a team environment, including high level oral and written communication skills.
• SC4: Possess the technical knowledge and expertise relevant to the position.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instruction in the instrumental music program, individually and/or in small groups
• Conduct and run Ensembles and Bands and be inclusive of all skill levels of students
• Prepare students for AMEB examinations, where appropriate
• Assist and prepare students for instrumental concerts, performances, official school events and productions some of which may be outside of the regular school day
• Assist with administration in the instrumental music program
• Prepare students for AMEB examinations, where appropriate
