Job summary

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to instruct instrumental students to maximise growth and confidence.
• Strong oral and written communication with students, parents and staff.
• Technical knowledge relevant to teaching guitar.
• Ability to work independently and show initiative.
• Commitment to ongoing professional learning within a school team.

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small group tuition in target instrument/s.
• Promote an environment of dynamic, active and performance-based instrumental learning.
• Support students to grow in their learning and confidence.
• Direct and instruct groups/ensembles in rehearsals and performances.
• Attend and assist with concerts and other scheduled performances.
• Maintain regular communication with parents and other staff.
• Keep accurate records of student attendance and progress.
• Other duties as directed by the principal when required.
