About us

A new state high school in Logan Reserve is scheduled to open in Term 1, 2027, initially catering for Years 7 and 8, with additional year levels added progressively.

Your opportunity

This vacancy is a rare opportunity for a dynamic and enthusiastic Guidance Officer who can contribute to the co-construction of student welfare and wellbeing programs.

In addition, we are looking for an outstanding applicant who understands socio-economic, migration and language barriers to education and how to assist staff, students and parents achieve the best possible life outcomes for our young people.

• Highly developed technical and interpersonal skills will be essential in building the capacity of staff and the community.
• Not only will you contribute to building the capacity of the staff, you will continue to embed sustainable practices and create an expert teaching team as the school grows and evolves.
• You will be required to work collaboratively with the leaders and Guidance Officers of the local primary schools.
• You will be responsible for assisting the school to achieve the Brighter Futures "On Track for Success" indicators which encompass successful primary to secondary school transition.
• As the school grows each year, you will be required to ensure that students are able to transition to senior secondary pathways of choice and be "Ready for the Future".
