Job summary

Mercure Brisbane Spring Hill is seeking a Guest Service Agent to join our Front Office team. You will welcome guests, handle check-ins/check-outs, manage guest preferences and payments, and coordinate with Housekeeping to ensure seamless stays.

We value a friendly, professional attitude, strong communication and a genuine passion for guest service. Training will be provided, and a rotating roster including mornings, evenings, weekends and public holidays is required.

Qualifications

• Previous hotel or customer-facing hospitality experience.
• Genuine passion for guest service and ability to connect with diverse guests.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills; stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail, organisation and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience with Opera/Opera Cloud and MS Office is advantageous; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional and personalised guest service from check-in to check-out.
• Manage guest accounts, payments and record guest preferences and requirements.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping and other departments to fulfil guest requests promptly.
• Assist with concierge services using local knowledge and recommendations.
• Maintain a professional and welcoming Front Office environment following hotel standards.
• Participate in training and contribute to a positive team culture.
