Job summary

Cibaria Noosa is seeking a confident, organised Host to join our Front of House team. You will be the first point of contact for guests, creating a warm welcome and a professional impression in a fast-paced dining room.

You’ll own reservations, seating plans and waitlists, monitor arrivals, handle guest enquiries and special requests, and support the wider Front of House team to deliver an outstanding, seamless dining experience.

Qualifications

• Experienced as a Host in a high-volume restaurant is a must.
• A strong problem solver who can remain calm under pressure
• Confident managing guest expectations in a busy restaurant environment
• Highly organised with exceptional communication skills
• Able to work independently while contributing to a positive team culture
• Proficient with reservation systems; SevenRooms experience highly regarded

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for all guests, creating a warm, welcoming and professional first impression
• Take ownership of reservations, seating plans and waitlists to ensure smooth and efficient service flow throughout each shift
• Monitor guest arrivals and table allocations, balancing service demands while maximising the dining experience
• Effectively handle guest enquiries, special requests and feedback, resolving issues with confidence and professionalism
• Maintain accurate reservation and guest information within our booking platform
• Communicate closely with the Restaurant Manager, Supervisors and Front of House team regarding service requirements, VIP guests and table availability
• Assist in coordinating large bookings, special events and peak service periods
• Proactively manage guest expectations and wait times while delivering exceptional customer service
• Ensure host stand, entry areas and guest-facing spaces are presented to the highest standard at all times
• Support the wider Front of House team as required to ensure seamless restaurant operations
• Contribute to a positive team culture by leading with professionalism, energy and a guest-first mindset
