Job summary

Cibaria Noosa is seeking a confident, organised Host to join our Front of House team. You will be the first point of contact for guests, creating a welcoming impression and managing reservations, seating plans and waitlists during busy service.

In this fast-paced venue, you’ll balance guest needs with efficient service, monitor arrivals and seating, and support the Front of House team to deliver exceptional hospitality and a smooth dining experience.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Host in a high-volume restaurant.
• Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving.
• Confident in managing guest expectations.
• Highly organised with excellent communication.
• Able to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Proficient with reservation systems; SevenRooms experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Be the first point of contact for all guests, creating a warm, welcoming and professional first impression
• Take ownership of reservations, seating plans and waitlists to ensure smooth and efficient service flow throughout each shift
• Monitor guest arrivals and table allocations, balancing service demands while maximising the dining experience
• Effectively handle guest enquiries, special requests and feedback, resolving issues with confidence and professionalism
• Maintain accurate reservation and guest information within our booking platform
• Communicate closely with the Restaurant Manager, Supervisors and Front of House team regarding service requirements, VIP guests and table availability
• Assist in coordinating large bookings, special events and peak service periods
• Proactively manage guest expectations and wait times while delivering exceptional customer service
• Ensure host stand, entry areas and guest-facing spaces are presented to the highest standard at all times
• Support the wider Front of House team as required to ensure seamless restaurant operations
• Contribute to a positive team culture by leading with professionalism, energy and a guest-first mindset
