Job summary

MIXI Australia is seeking a commercially minded data analyst who uses data to drive business performance and support strategic decisions. You will analyse data across commercial, operational and customer domains, identify trends, and develop insights to improve outcomes.

The role requires 2–5 years in analytics, strong SQL and Excel, and experience with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau or Looker). Proficiency in Japanese and English, plus solid communication, is essential.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience in a Data Analyst, Commercial Analyst, Business Analyst, Growth Analyst or similar analytical role.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and communicate insights from data.
• Hands-on experience using SQL for data extraction, analysis and reporting.
• Experience analysing business performance and providing recommendations based on findings.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel.
• Experience using business intelligence and data visualisation tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Looker or similar.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Business-level proficiency in both Japanese and English.

Responsibilities

• Analyse commercial, operational and customer data to identify trends, risks and growth opportunities.
• Develop and monitor KPIs to evaluate business performance.
• Partner with stakeholders across multiple functions to support data-driven decision-making.
• Build, maintain and enhance dashboards, reports and analytical models.
• Translate complex data into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of business initiatives and measure outcomes.
• Prepare and present analytical findings to local and international stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement of reporting, analytics and business processes.
• Contribute to strategic projects aimed at improving business performance and customer outcomes.
