Nine is Australia’s largest locally owned media company. The Innovation and Growth Editor role is based in North Sydney and reports to the Editor-in-Chief, shaping off-platform strategies to expand audience reach and revenue across audio, video and newsletters.

You will lead a team of producers, drive modern digital storytelling, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to balance editorial integrity with commercial goals in a fast-evolving media landscape.

Qualifications

• Senior newsroom leadership experience.
• Proven track record in off-platform content strategy.
• Ability to manage, develop content production teams.
• Expertise in audio and video storytelling.

Responsabilités

• Design and implement off-platform strategies to expand audience reach and impact.
• Lead the audio team to develop podcasts and deliver programs like Chanticleer and The Fin.
• Drive video strategy to unlock editorial and commercial opportunities.
• Oversee AFR’s newsletter suite to maximize reach and quality.
• Collaborate with Nine departments to develop new products or technologies.
