Job summary

Hometime, a fast-growing owner-operated holiday home group in Australia, seeks a Finance Manager to own the month-end close end-to-end and maintain a genuinely clean balance sheet. You’ll gain exposure to acquisitions, trust accounting compliance and audit, while building automation to eliminate manual reconciliation.

Collaboration with stakeholders will be essential to explain numbers clearly. We’re after a CA/CPA qualified candidate with multi-entity experience, strong Xero and Excel skills,

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified with 3–5+ years across a multi-entity group.
• Strong Xero and advanced Excel skills, with a track record of using AI to automate finance work.
• A genuine pride in clean numbers and a low tolerance for loose ends.

Responsibilities

• End of month close across the group, on time, every entity, every time.
• Balance sheet integrity: reconciliations that are resolved, not carried forward.
• P&L and balance sheet commentary that non-finance stakeholders understand and act on.
• Trust account disbursements and statutory compliance for homeowner and corporate revenue.
• Automation of the close process to reduce manual handling.
• Audit prep, AP review, statutory reporting and tax filing oversight with the Senior Finance Manager.
• Finance integration for new acquisitions, from opening balance sheets to chart of accounts alignment.
• Escalation point for the business on payments, coding and reconciliations.
