Job summary

Nearmap is seeking an experienced accounting professional to join the Group Reporting team in Sydney, Australia. You will own key parts of the financial close, consolidation, and statutory reporting, while partnering with global finance teams and external advisors.

The role calls for 4+ years in accounting/finance with strong IFRS/AASB knowledge, and experience in multi-currency consolidations, transfer pricing, and ERP systems. Hybrid work options are available.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field.
• 4+ years experience in Accounting/Finance with exposure to financial reporting and global consolidations.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and posting journals.
• Manage the Group consolidation process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead preparation of monthly and annual statutory financial statements and supporting documentation for external advisors.
• Prepare monthly variance analysis to support management review of performance.
• Lead external audits as central point of contact with auditors.
• Manage direct tax and transfer pricing matters with external advisors.
• Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions as part of consolidation.
• Liaise with tax authorities as required.
• Monitor new accounting standards and assess impact on the Group’s financials.
• Identify and drive process improvement initiatives for month-end and reporting.
• Contribute to ad hoc finance projects across teams.
