Job summary

Nearmap is seeking an experienced Group Accountant/Assistant Manager to own month-end close, consolidations, and statutory financial statements. You will partner with our Finance teams across Australia and the US, ensuring compliant, audit-ready reporting and insightful variance analysis.

The role requires CA/CPA, 4+ years in accounting/finance, and strong knowledge of AASB/IFRS. Prior Big 4 or tier-2 consulting exposure is valued in our fast-paced, PE-owned environment.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualification required.
• 4+ years in accounting/finance with financial reporting experience.
• Experience with multi-currency consolidations and transfer pricing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own month-end close, balance sheet reconciliations, and posting journals for assigned accounts.
• Manage Group consolidation process with accuracy and timeliness.
• Lead preparation of monthly and annual statutory financial statements for external advisors.
• Prepare monthly variance analysis for management review.
• Lead external audits as central point of contact and coordinate inquiries.
• Manage direct tax and transfer pricing matters with external advisors.
• Prepare and reconcile intercompany transactions as part of consolidation.
