Job summary

Sharp & Carter is seeking a hands-on Manager to lead statutory reporting for a portfolio of Australian entities, report to the Financial Controller and work with senior finance leadership. You’ll own the statutory financial statements, contribute to group consolidation and the annual report, and draft technical accounting papers that shape key judgements.

Qualifications

• CA/CPA qualified
• Hands-on experience preparing full sets of statutory financial statements
• Solid understanding of consolidation, intercompany and Australian Accounting Standards
• Experience writing technical accounting papers or working through accounting judgements
• Experience leading or mentoring others, or clear readiness to step into leadership
• Tax compliance exposure (GST, FBT, company tax) highly regarded
• Exposure to lease accounting or fixed asset registers highly regarded
• Strong Excel skills and experience with general ledger systems
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Own statutory reporting for a portfolio of Australian entities.
• Contribute to the group consolidation and annual report.
• Write technical accounting papers that shape key judgements across the business.
• Lead and develop a small team of accountants in a hands‑on function.
• Collaborate with senior finance leadership and stakeholders, including Audit Committee interactions.
