Job summary

North Sydney Council is seeking a team member for the Turf Operations Team to maintain public parks and sports fields in the North Sydney area. Duties include mowing, turf preparation, pruning, mulching, planting, watering and weed/pest/disease management, plus general site maintenance to keep spaces clean and safe.

Do you enjoy working outdoors and keeping public spaces looking their best? We're looking for someone to join our Turf Operations Team to help maintain and enhance the public parks and sports fields in the North Sydney area.

North Sydney Council administers the North Sydney local government area on Sydney's picturesque lower North Shore. Our 400 employees look after 77,000 residents spread across 10 square kilometres of land on the foreshores of Sydney Harbour providing spectacular harbour views, beautiful parklands, and a bustling CBD. The role

As a member of the Turf Operations Team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the aesthetic and functional quality of public parks and sports fields in the North Sydney LG area.

Your duties will include performing both planned and reactive maintenance activities such as mowing, rolling, turf preparation, pruning, mulching, planting, watering, and managing weeds, pests, and diseases. Additionally, you'll be responsible for general site management to maintain a clean and safe environment. Identifying and reporting maintenance needs for Council structures like fences and seating will also be part of your role.

Salary Range from: $66,679 to $79,351 pa (incl. allowance) + 12% superannuation + $1,000 pa transport allowance
