Job summary

Palm Lake Resort Pty in Bargara is seeking a part-time Groundskeeper to maintain resort gardens, lawns and outdoor areas 32 hours per week, Monday to Thursday. You will help ensure safety, cleanliness and visual appeal for residents and visitors year-round.

The role requires relevant gardening experience, qualifications in horticulture (preferred) and the ability to operate mower, hedge cutters and other tools. A supportive team and a picturesque work environment await.

Qualifications

• Gardening experience in a similar role is required.
• Cert III Horticulture or equivalent is advantageous.
• ACDC chemical license is advantageous.
• Ability to operate lawn and garden equipment.
• Must pass physical requirements (bending, lifting).
• Ability to work with limited supervision.

Responsibilities

• Hedge and tree trimming.
• Mowing, edging, and whipper snipping.
• Weed and pest control with herbicides.
• Pruning, mulching, irrigation maintenance.
• Planting, watering, and maintaining flowers and shrubs.
• Oversee outdoor presentation of facilities including BBQ and pool.
• Ensure all equipment is maintained and in good order.

We're looking for a committed and enthusiastic Groundskeeper to join our Palm Lake Resort Bargarateam and help keep our resort grounds in pristine condition.

This is a Part Time role, working32 hours per week, Monday to Thursday,in a hands-on capacity to maintain our gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas, ensuring they are safe, clean, and visually appealing. Your work will be essential to ensuring the resort grounds are presented to a high standard for our residents and visitors year-round.

Responsibilities

• Hedge & tree trimming
• Mowing, edging & whipper snipping
• Control weeds and pests through the application of herbicides;
• Raking and blowing leaves, pruning and disposing of dying vegetation;
• Planting, mulching, and maintaining flowers and shrubs, including watering and maintenance of irrigation systems;
• Oversee the outdoor presentation of all facilities, including BBQ & pool maintenance
• Ensure all mechanical equipment and tools are kept in good working order

• Relevant gardening experience in a similar role;

• Possess the physical ability to undertake the requirements of the role, including bending, lifting and carrying.
• Initiative & the ability to work with limited supervision.
