Job summary

Palm Lake Resort Pelican Waters is seeking a committed Grounds Team Leader to oversee daily grounds maintenance and lead the team. The role blends hands-on landscaping with supervision to keep our resort grounds pristine.

You will coordinate maintenance activities, guide staff, and ensure safety standards. The position involves physical work, equipment maintenance, and a focus on delivering a welcoming outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated leadership in a supervisory role.
• Experience in groundskeeping and landscape maintenance.
• Valid C class driver’s licence; HR/MR licences are highly regarded.

Responsibilities

• Assist in completion, allocation and supervision of grounds staff.
• Train staff in safe use, cleaning and storage of equipment & chemicals.
• Manage hazardous substance storage, labelling and registers.
• Ensure PPE use and staff training on PPE procedures.
• Hedge & tree trimming; mowing, edging & whipper snipping.
• Control weeds and pests with herbicides; pruning and disposal of vegetation.
• Maintain irrigation, plants and landscape features; oversee BBQ & pool upkeep.
• Ensure mechanical equipment is kept in good working order.
